This mountaintop museum is located in summit plateau of plan de corones in Italian Alps, which is the 6th and last museum building devoted to his career of reinhold Messner that finished by Architect Zaha Hadid. The ‘MMM Corones’ institution is open to people nowadays, exploring the discipline of mountain climbing via a unique collection of photos and different kinds of Messner’s collecting items during his whole life as an explorer.

The special cascading staircase system express interior and create dynamic volumes of circulation via 3 levels of temporary exhibition space, theme topic display, and small auditorium. Special design like glazed apertures are oriented so that interiors can be predominantly sunlit while it is still welcoming rocky and bucolic surroundings presence. Furthermore, this unique design form where is built into mountain allows the museum building to keep an constant internal temperature all the time.
